Tickets Are Now on Sale for NY BREWFEST ‘08

That’s right, the New York State Brewers Association and Heartland Brewery are pleased announce that tickets are now on sale for the third annual "NY Brewfest," taking place Friday, September 12, 2008 at South Street Seaport piers 16 & 17, from 5-10 PM. Tickets, which cost $50, can be purchased at www.nybrewfest.com or at any of Heartland Brewery's five New York City locations. To ensure entry, we encourage you to purchase tickets early (the event sold out its first two years).

As part of the festivities, you will get to sample more than 300 craft beers from 100 New York State, East Coast, U.S., and international breweries; nosh on authentic BBQ from Spanky's ; and hear live music from the Bagpipe Dudes (4:30-5 PM), Los Blancos (5-6:30 PM), Bernie Clarke & The Rhythm Sharks (6:45-8:15 PM), and Donna Jean & The Tricksters (8:30-10 PM).

Jon Bloostein, founder of Heartland Brewery (the co-sponsor of the event), says: "Like a great barley wine, NY Brewfest continues to improve with age. This year, we've increased the number and geographical scope of participating breweries and, to avoid log-jams of people at the start of the event (5 PM), created four more check-in gates (where attendees show proof of age and get a tasting glass). That way you can begin tasting exactly at 5 PM."

We hope you will join us again for another great evening of beer, BBQ, and live music!

With beer in hand,

The friendly folks at NY Brewfest.
