It takes a certain amount of stamina and perseverance to make it to the
main event final table, at the WSOP in Las Vegas, NV. It also, apparently, takes
mountains of BAL, (blind-ass luck) to survive bad decisions, and horrible
beats, in the process.
For at least the last
couple of decades, Portland, OR has been a key player in the development of
craft beer. And now they may be leading the charge in pairing visual art with
beer.
The media attendance was a bit more high-powered than for your usual beer dinner — we were rubbing shoulders with CNN, CNBC, Maxxim Magazine, Food Network Magazine — but it was Jim Koch (Boston Beer Co. president)…and it was Utopias (and true, the CNN studios were just around the corner — even the stage manager showed up).
