The Golden Rail Ale House is a casual, English style pub located in the Town of Newburgh, NY, just minutes from Routes 84, 9W and the NYS Thruway. Our 18 rotating taps offer the greatest selection of fine craft brews between Albany and NYC, including limited series brews such as Brooklyn’s Brewmaster’s Reserve, Rogue JLS, Harpoon 100 Barrel Series and Sly Fox Project IPA. We strive to bring the rarest brews to the area, such as Harviestoun’s “Ola Dubh” and, with increasing frequency, we are serving pin and firkin cask ales. Last year, we featured nearly 150 different beers on draught, and are striving for 200 in 2008. Our monthly events include guest speakers such as Tony Forder and Jack Babin (ASN,) Steve Hindy (Brooklyn,) Lew Bryson (beer author,) Scott Vaccaro (Captain Lawrence,) Greg Zaccardi (High Point,) and Charlie Sullivan (Southampton.) We also run bus trips to breweries and pub crawls to the boroughs of NYC. “Our beers change weekly, not weakly!”

looking for a place where the locals go for quality craft beer? then this is the place for you. it's a gem that's off of the beaten path. the selection is always rotating so you'll have something different to check out each time you visit. want to talk about beer? ask if Brian is there and tell him you saw it here on the Ale Street news website. if you're hungary, i recommend the chili.
