I have already found out that I'm not the only one wanting to pursue commercial hops growing and am looking to network with others. Having a consortium of growers to share in harvesting labor, processing, and cost of pelletization would help to make the economies of scale better for each involved. Hit me back if you or someone you know is interested in expanding their hop yards or about to put in acreage.

I am very much interested. I started brewing in january and I've decided to make this my career. I'm going to a hop growers seminar in dec. and i'm very much interested in growing hops. At my grandpas farm I'm growing to cascade plants (which one I was able to get 1/2oz this year) and 2 willemtte. So if your looking for help, by all means let me know.

What region of MI do you live in? Is it the seminar up in Traverse City Bay mid-December? How many plants do you have? We've got a dozen now but are going to get 100-150 depending on variety and availability for next season.

I live in Sterling Heights, but my grandpa lives in Almont where my hops are. If you don''t know those cities, its Macomb county near Detroit. I have 4 plants currently, I really don't have much room to plant but I'll probably double that number next year. I have 2 cascade and 2 Willemette. If you need any help let me know. Distance isn't important.

Oh and yes its the traverse city seminar Dec.17th

I live in S.W. Michigan and trying get crop out this spring. I have been out of the beer brewing thing for about ten years. I have made everything from stout to lite. I have about ten acres and plan to put in hops this spring and need to get rhizomes early. If you know of a place that I could get them from now it would help with getting clones going over the winter.

And if you need any help planting or harvesting or anything for that matter. Please don't hesitate to call me or test me 1-586-484-7155. I'm always looking for experience and i'm a good working. Also I have a few books and papers on the subject of hop growing if your interested in taking a look.
