Anyone have a favirote Czech beer that they feel strongly about? I for one enjoy every drop of a cold Gambrinus preferably 12° but a 10° will more than suffice.

I made a beer pilgrimmage to Plzen, CR in 2003 and can safely report that Pilsner Urquell, the original, on tap at the brewery is easily in my top 5 beers of the world.

I also like Staropramen and Budvar, but there are many Czech pivos that I don't really love comparatively. Gambrinus is one I didn't really like. Rebel is another.

I have to agree with you that Plzensky Prazdroj is a great beer...and especially on tap in Plzen. Staropramen is a great one as well. Hmmm come to think of it, there isn't a Czech beer I don't like.

Not to keep my thread alive, but here's a great Czech brew. One of our oldest dating back to the 1500's.
