One of the greatest is Highland Gaelic Ale(Asheville NC). Sort of a cross between a stout and an IPA.

That is one of the most impossible questions to answer--in terms of all time But right now, given our current obsession with Belgian-style beers, La Fin Du Monde.

For myself it's hands down a Gambrinus 12° which I believe can be found on shelves on the East Coast. Bottled however is no competition for a beautifully poured stein of the golden liquid.
