Mackeson's XXX Stout--it's a milk stout, sweet finish--excellent. Similar, though not quite as good is Cooper's Best Extra Stout out of Australia.

My standing favorite is Andechs helles, enjoyed from their sunny biergarten overlooking the rolling Alpine foothills just south of Munich. On a brilliant clear day you can even glimpse the mountains way in the south. Part of my enjoyment of this wonderful beer is, of course, the incredible setting, the Andechs Monastery.

My favorite bottled beer is between Jever Pils and Stiegl pils.

Favorite Belgian is Chimay, although I get in a Duvel mood. I also enjoyed one called Artevelde when I was in Belgium.

And it's pretty impossible in my eyes to top Pilsner Urquell at the brewery restaurant in Prague. Likewise, the Guinness at some pubs in Dublin is otherworldly.

I have to say that mine is the Westvleteren 12. I've had the good fortune to have one and it seems to be everything it is hyped to be.

I gotta get my hands on a Westy 12 one of these days. I do love a good Belgian beer, and that's pretty much at the top of everybody's list of good Belgians. I guess the closest I've had to the Westy 12 is a Rochefort 10, and it was amazing.

Last fall tried Pumking, from Southern Tier. This was very tasty, not usually a fan of Pumkin style Ale, but I will try and stock up on some around release time in 08-
