Who's your favorite brewer of "extreme beer"? I'm from Maryland and I'm partial to Dogfish Head. No doubt that they make some of the "biggest" beers out there like their 120min DIPA(21%abv), and their World-wide Imperial Stout(18%abv). There's lots of brewers out there making delicious "big" beers. Who's your favorite?

Everyday, it seems there's a new beer to try -- right now I'm liking those hoppy PA Double IPA's -- Simco, Weyerbacher; Hop Wallop, Victory; Nugget Nectar; and of course, Stoudts Double IPA.

Just got back from a three brewery trip while staying in Lancaster, PA: 1. Stoudt's Brewing Co. (Fat Dog Stout-9% abv) in Adamstown, 2. Bube's Brewery (Stout) in Mount Joy and Iron Hill Brewery (Russian Imperial Stout 9.5%-abv). Right now my favorite is Fat Dog Stout. I enjoyed all three of these beers but Stoudt's just did the trick. I tried a few of the breweries other offerings as well but this was the weekend for stouts with a little kick. I would recommend any of these beers.

I would have to also say DogFish. I have not had one of there beers that I have not enjoyed. I love the 120/90/60 minute IPA's, Burton Batton, ApriHop, Red and White, Fort, Raison/Raison d' Extra, Midus Touch and the list goes on!! One of the best orginal craft brews out there!!

Very few beers are as good as the Dogfish 90.

I'm looking to clone the recipe, I think it has ringwood yeast.

I think Southern tier is brewing fantastic extreme beers.Their blackwater series of Imperial stouts are some of the best in the country.Oat,chocolate,Jahva and the new beer will be released shortly a blend of chocolate and Jahva.Their double ipa hoppe and triple3 ipa unearhly are also world class.
