Now over 50 years old, Manuel's Tavern, in the Virginia-Highlands district of Atlanta, is the classic beer and bar food spot in town. Built for comfort, it looks the same as it did 50 years ago. All types of folks are there, conversation guaranteed. A place to relax, talk, and, well, drink.

I just moved from the ATL and Manuels Tavern is a great old bar, but in my opinion the best bar in Atlanta is the Bricktore Pub in Decatur, an old suburb. Bricktore has a belgian bar upstairs where they always have 5 on tap and an engine working as well. Downstairs they have a bunch of craft beers on tap and a beer menu showcasing the best belgian and craft beer from around the world that are available in GA. There are I would say at least 250 beers on the menu and half are from Belgium. The bar also has a great feal to the place and has some good food. It is quite popular and does get crowded though.
